One of our most recent videos has been for a school catering company called Innovate …. filming a few short instructional videos with celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo!

Little Sue is a two track single and the latest release from The Musical Scientist.

The video is currently up on Youtube and so far has reached over 6000 views which we’re really happy with!

The Musical Scientist was launched by singer-songwriter Duncan Horlock to showcase his latest material. Medical research scientist by day, musician by night, Duncan creates and sells his own original music, donating half of all profits to the essential field of medical research.

Duncan works as a medical research scientist at Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute in Melbourne, where he is part of a team of scientists looking into the causes and effects of heart failure and possible cures and treatments to this debilitating and life-threatening condition.

It makes fun of camera test videos whilst at the same time demonstrating the Canon C300′s abilities.

Here is a bit of info about the C300:

When Canon unveiled the 5D Mark II three years ago (which I’m a big fan of), it was surprised by the camera’s success with film makers. Now because of their popularity, they are releasing an entirely new system dedicated to these professionals.

The EOS C300 features a newly developed sensor, dubbed Super 35mm, offering a resolution of 8.29 megapixels. However, Canon points out that the sensor has a pixel size “larger than that for conventional professional camcorders, enabling greater light-gathering capabilities for enhanced sensitivity and reduced noise”. The camcorder can record Full HD video signals for each of the three RGB primary colours, which decreases the incidence of moiré. However, the camcorder cannot record footage at a 4K resolution.

The EOS C300 can record at frame rates of 59.41i, 50.00i, 29.97P, 25.00P, 23.98P, and 24.00p, which matches the 24 frame-per-second frame rate of film cameras “for high compatibility with common film-production workflows”.

It will be available in two models – the EOS C300 Digital Video Camcorder, equipped with an EF lens mount, and the EOS C300 PL Digital Video Camcorder, with a PL lens mount for use with industry-standard PL lenses.
